on a Pilgrimage to Kearney, Nebraska
Saturday, November 18

Pilgrimage Schedule

  • 7:00am ~ Meet at Peace Presbyterian Church
  • 7:10am - 10:00am ~ Travel to Kearney
  • 10:00am ~ Arrive at St. George Church, Kearney
  • 10:00am - 2:00pm - Meet with Fr. Chris, St. George Church and Visitation at the Grave of Nicola Yanney
  • 2:00pm ~ Depart Kearney for Omaha

Parishioners will have an opportunity to meet with Reverend Christopher Morris, Pastor of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and see the iconography at St. George, painted by Iconographer Dmitry Shkolnik. Mr. Shkolnik is one of the Iconographers the Parish Council is considering painting the iconography at our New Church.

Parishioners will also be praying at the grave of Fr. Nicola Yanney, the Missionary of Nebraska, who is up for Canonization.

Deb McDonnell has been a member of All Holy Spirit, since its inception June, 2006. Deb worked for the Omaha Public Power District in the Engineering Division from May of 1979, until her retirement in February, 2016, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Leadership from College of St. Mary, Omaha. Deb assisted her mom, Joan Rakes, in the office for a few months before accepting a position in the office as an Administrative Assistant. Deb active in All Holy Spirit's Sunday School, Philoptochos and Choir. Deb and her husband Jim have 3 sons, 1 daughter and 3 grandsons.
